Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Indiehyve Pvt. Ltd. (“Indiehyve,” “we,” “our,” or “us”), the company behind Klynto, collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use our platform, website, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). By using Klynto, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, information generated automatically when you use our Service, and information from third-party services.

Account & Profile Data

  • Name, email address, and password when you register an account
  • Business name, type (restaurant, café, hotel, event), and workspace configuration
  • Profile photo or logo if uploaded
  • Billing name and address provided during subscription setup

Business & Operational Data

  • Products, inventory items, categories, and pricing you create inside Klynto
  • Orders, purchase records, supplier details, and customer records you enter
  • Menu and space configurations, website builder content
  • Files and images you upload (product photos, website assets)

Usage & Technical Data

  • Log data: IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, pages visited, and timestamps
  • Device identifiers and session tokens
  • Feature usage patterns collected via PostHog analytics
  • Error logs and crash reports for debugging purposes

Payment Data

We use Stripe to process subscription payments. We do not store your full card number or CVV. Stripe provides us with a token, last four digits, card brand, and expiry date for billing management. Stripe's privacy practices are governed by the Stripe Privacy Policy.

Data from Third-Party Sign-In

If you sign in using Google OAuth, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google, subject to the permissions you grant. We do not receive your Google password.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create and maintain your account and workspace
  • Deliver the core features of Klynto — orders, inventory, billing, menus, reports, and the website builder
  • Process subscription payments and send invoices via Stripe
  • Send transactional emails such as account verification, password reset, and billing notifications
  • Monitor, analyze, and improve platform performance and reliability using aggregated and anonymized usage data
  • Detect and prevent fraudulent activity, abuse, and security threats
  • Respond to support requests and communicate service updates
  • Comply with legal obligations under applicable law

3. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:

Service Providers

We share data with trusted vendors who help us operate the Service:

  • Stripe — payment processing for Klynto subscriptions
  • PostHog — product analytics (usage events, feature adoption tracking)
  • Sanity — content management for our marketing site, blog, and changelog
  • Google — OAuth authentication and, where applicable, Google Cloud infrastructure
  • Vercel / cloud hosting providers — server infrastructure and CDN

These vendors are contractually bound to use your data only to provide services to us and to maintain appropriate security.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required by law, regulation, court order, or government authority, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to prevent harm or protect the rights of Indiehyve or others.

Business Transfers

If Indiehyve undergoes a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your data is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

With Your Consent

We may share information for any other purpose with your explicit consent.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or legitimate business interests such as fraud prevention or dispute resolution.

Aggregated and anonymized usage data that cannot be linked back to you may be retained indefinitely for analytics and product improvement.

5. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption in transit, encrypted storage, access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security and encourage you to use a strong, unique password and enable two-factor authentication where available.

6. Your Rights

Regardless of your location, you have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Correction — request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Deletion — request that we delete your personal data (subject to legal requirements)
  • Export — receive your data in a portable, machine-readable format
  • Restriction — request that we limit how we process your data in certain circumstances
  • Objection — object to processing for marketing or analytics purposes

To exercise any of these rights, email us at legal@klynto.com with the subject line “Privacy Request.” We will respond within 30 days. We may ask you to verify your identity before processing your request.

7. Cookies

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate the Service and understand how you use it. For full details, see our Cookie Policy.

8. Children

Klynto is a business operations platform intended for use by individuals aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, contact us at legal@klynto.com and we will promptly delete it.

9. International Transfers

Indiehyve is headquartered in Nepal. By using Klynto, you acknowledge that your information may be transferred to and processed in Nepal and other countries where our service providers operate, including the United States and the European Union. We take steps to ensure that such transfers are made in accordance with applicable privacy laws.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by displaying a notice on the platform at least 14 days before the change takes effect. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.

11. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of Nepal, including the Electronic Transaction Act 2063 (2006) and any applicable regulations. Any disputes arising under this policy shall be subject to the jurisdiction of competent courts in Nepal.
