Cookie Policy

Effective May 7, 2026 · Last updated May 7, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which cookies and similar technologies Indiehyve Pvt. Ltd. (“Indiehyve,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) uses on Klynto, why we use them, and how you can control them.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device (computer, smartphone, or tablet) when you visit a website or use a web application. They are widely used to make websites and apps function correctly, to improve performance, and to provide information to site owners.

Cookies can be:

  • Session cookies — temporary files deleted when you close your browser
  • Persistent cookies — files that remain on your device for a set period or until you delete them
  • First-party cookies — set by Klynto directly
  • Third-party cookies — set by external services we use (e.g., PostHog, Google)

We may also use similar technologies such as local storage and session storage to store small amounts of data in your browser for functionality and preference purposes.

2. Essential Cookies

Essential cookies are strictly necessary for Klynto to function. They enable core features such as secure login, session management, and protection against cross-site attacks. You cannot opt out of essential cookies while using the Service — doing so would prevent the platform from working correctly.

3. Analytics Cookies

We use PostHog to understand how users interact with Klynto — which features are used, where users encounter friction, and how the product can be improved. PostHog collects anonymized usage data and aggregates it for our analytics dashboard. We do not use this data to build advertising profiles or sell it to third parties.

PostHog is configured to respect user privacy. We have disabled IP address collection where possible and do not enable session recordings unless explicitly testing a specific flow internally.

posthog_distinct_idPostHogIdentifies unique users for analytics aggregation (anonymized in reports)1 year

PostHog's data practices are governed by the PostHog Privacy Policy.

4. Preference Cookies

Preference cookies allow Klynto to remember choices you make — such as your sidebar state, display theme, or table page size — so that you do not have to reconfigure these settings every time you use the platform. These cookies improve your experience but are not strictly necessary for the Service to function.

NameProviderPurposeDuration
klynto_sidebar_stateKlyntoRemembers whether the navigation sidebar is open or collapsed1 year
klynto_themeKlyntoStores your dark/light mode preference1 year
klynto_page_sizeKlyntoRemembers your preferred number of rows per page in data grids1 year

5. Google OAuth & Authentication

If you use “Sign in with Google,” Google may set its own cookies and use local storage as part of the OAuth 2.0 authentication flow. These are controlled by Google and are subject to Google's Privacy Policy. We receive only your name, email, and profile photo from Google — we do not receive access to your Google account beyond authentication.

Google OAuth cookies are set only if you choose to sign in via Google. They are not set for users who register with an email and password.

6. Stripe Cookies

When you access subscription or billing pages, Stripe may set cookies or use browser storage to detect fraudulent activity, manage payment sessions, and comply with financial regulations. These cookies are strictly necessary for secure payment processing and cannot be disabled if you use billing features.

Stripe's cookie usage is governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.

7. Advertising & Marketing Cookies

We do not use advertising or marketing tracking cookies. We do not place pixels or tags for ad networks, retargeting platforms, or social media advertising. Klynto does not track your activity across third-party websites for advertising purposes.

8. How to Manage Cookies

You can control and manage cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:

  • View cookies currently stored on your device
  • Delete all or specific cookies
  • Block third-party cookies
  • Configure your browser to block cookies from specific sites
  • Set your browser to alert you when a cookie is being set

Browser-specific instructions:

Google Chrome — Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data

Mozilla Firefox — Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data

Safari — Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data

Microsoft Edge — Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies

Please note that disabling essential cookies will impair your ability to use Klynto. Disabling analytics or preference cookies will not prevent you from using the platform, but may result in a less personalized experience and reduced ability for us to identify and fix issues.

9. Opting Out of Analytics

To opt out of PostHog analytics specifically, you can:

  • Use a browser extension that blocks PostHog (e.g., uBlock Origin with the PostHog domain blocked)
  • Enable the Do Not Track (DNT) signal in your browser — Klynto honors DNT where technically feasible
  • Contact us at legal@klynto.com to request that your account be excluded from analytics tracking

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date and, for material changes, notify you via email or in-app notice. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
